Crosspoint Capital Partners (Crosspoint Capital), a private equity firm focused on the cybersecurity, privacy and infrastructure software markets, has led a USD50 million Series C investment in Afero, a provider of turnkey Internet of Things (IoT) Platform as a Service (Paas) solutions that bring secure connectivity to IoT devices.
The Home Depot also participated in the investment round, terms of which have not been disclosed.
Orange has taken another step forward in its Net Zero Carbon by 2040 environmental strategy by creating Orange Nature, an innovative EUR50 million carbon fund, with returns in high-quality carbon credits only.
Launched with the asset management company Mirova (Natixis Investment Managers), the Orange Nature fund will directly or indirectly invest in various carbon sequestration projects around the world: afforestation, reforestation, and restoration of natural ecosystems (mangroves or agroforestry projects). Specific attention will be paid to the economic and social development of the regions and populations affected by the projects as well as the positive impacts they have on biodiversity.
US Bank subsidiary, US Bancorp Asset Management, has closed on the acquisition of PFM Asset Management (PFMAM) originally announced on 8 July.
PFM Asset Management will continue to operate as a separate registered investment advisor. As part of the acquisition, more than 250 PFM Asset Management employees have joined US Bank.
Alternative investment firm Angelo Gordon has appointed Allison Binns, former Executive Director for Global Sustainability Research at Morgan Stanley, as Head of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) and Sustainable Investing Strategies.
In this new role, Binns will lead and drive a best-in-class, strategic approach to ESG integration and opportunity across Angelo Gordon’s global platform. Binns will report to Josh Baumgarten and Adam Schwartz, Angelo Gordon’s co-Chief Executive Officers.

Meridian Adhesives Group (Meridian) has acquired American Sealants Inc (ASI), a specialist in product assembly adhesives and sealants.

Tech24 is a US provider of repair and maintenance services for food service and commercial HVAC equipment. Financial terms of the deal, which is Tech24’s seventh add-on acquisition in the foodservice repair and maintenance market, have not been disclosed.
Circulate Capital, a Singapore-based investment management firm financing high-growth opportunities at the nexus of climate-tech and plastics, recycling and the circular economy, has held the second close of its climate tech fund, Circulate Capital Disrupt (CCD), bringing the strategy’s total AUM to USD25 million.
CCD is backed by international private investors including Builders Vision; Benjamin Duncan Group (UHNW Family Office); Circocean Ltd; DF Impact Capital; Eden Impact; Huang Chen Foundation; Minderoo Foundation; Rumah Group and Twynam Investments Ltd.
Hummingbird RegTech, a provider of risk and compliance technology, has raised USD30 million in Series B funding round led by Battery Ventures.
Barings has provided financing to support Aquavista, an operator of inland marinas in the UK, on its acquisition of Castle Marinas (Castle).
Aquavista is backed by LDC, a UK middle market private equity investors. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
