London-based private lender Pemberton Asset Management is seeking to raise €3.75bn ($4.2bn) for its latest opportunistic credit fund, Pemberton Strategic Credit Fund IV, amid growing challenges faced by traditional banks, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. 
CenterOak Partners, a $2.5bn private equity firm focused on control-oriented investments in middle market companies, has closed CenterOak Equity Fund III, at its hard cap with total capital commitments of over $1.1bn.
Magnetar Capital, the $17.5bn money manager known for alternative credit and hedge fund investing, has closed a new $2335m venture capital fund – the Magnetar AI Ventures Fund – which will focus on investments in generative AI startups.

BlackRock has held the first close of its new high-yield infrastructure debt fund, Global Infrastructure Debt II, with $1.3bn in capital commitments, which represents more than half of the funds’ $2.5bn target, according to a report by Infrastructure Investor.
HarbourVest Partners has raised a record $18.5bn in its latest private equity secondaries fundraising – $15.1bn for the oversubscribed main Dover Street XI fund, and an additional $3.4bn for Secondary Overflow Fund V, dedicated to secondary co-investment opportunities.
