Clearlake Capital has raised $7.5bn as part of its $15bn goal for Clearlake Capital Partners VIII, setting a $16.7bn hard cap for its eighth primary buyout fund, according to a report by Buyouts citing the May Investment Advisory Council meeting materials from the Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds. 
Patron Capital, a pan-European investor focused on property-backed investments, has closed its seventh flagship fund, raising in excess of €860m, including more than €200m of Patron discretionary co-investment capital for larger opportunities.
Independent European infrastructure fund manager Arjun Infrastructure Partners has held the final close of its Infrastructure Alliance Europe 2 fund with total capital commitments of €1.1bn, with an additional €300m allocated to its co-investment programme.
Global alternative asset management firm TPG has closed its eighth Asia-focused private equity fund, TPG Asia VIII, and TPG AG Asia Realty Fund V and the TPG AG Japan Realty Value Funds, with combined commitments in excess of $8bn.
Alternative credit asset manager Benefit Street Partners has held the final close of BSP Special Situations Fund II and its affiliated vehicles which were oversubscribed with approximately $850m in capital commitments.
European private equity firm Innova Capital has closed its latest fund, Innova/7, raising €407m, surpassing its €350m target and $400m hard cap. 
Private markets investment major CVC Capital Partners has activated three new funds — Americas Fund IX, Asia VI, and Strategic Opportunities III — due to “increasing deployment activity”.
HighVista Strategies, an alternative asset manager focused on investments in public and private markets, has held the final close of HighVista Private Equity X, with $675m of capital commitments.
Golub Capital has held the final close of its sixth credit opportunities fund, GEMS Fund 6, with $2bn of investable capital – in excess of its target – making it the largest Golub Capital Credit Opportunities fund to date.
Specialist global impact investor Blue Earth Capital has partnered with Achieve Partners, a US-based impact fund manager focused on education in North America. The partnership entails commitments to the latter’s latest fund, Achieve EdTech Buyout Fund, as well as a single-asset GP-led continuation fund.
