The round was led by OpenOcean, and previous investors Peak and Paua Ventures also participated, bringing the company’s total funding to USD13.7 million. Q-Energy, a global investment and management company in renewable energy, has held the final closing of its fourth fund, Q-Energy IV, with an investment capacity of EUR1.1 billion in equity, which will allow the manager to mobilise more than EUR5 billion into the sector including debt. Q-Energy launched its fourth fund in May 2020, and within two months it reached a First Closing of EUR360 million. Palatine Private Equity has exchanged contracts for the sale of national independent financial adviser Wren Sterling to the management team supported by investment funds affiliated with Lightyear Capital LLC (Lightyear), which is making a majority investment in the firm. Wren Sterling was created in 2015 through the Palatine-backed management buyout of Towergate Financial. Capstar Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm, has closed its inaugural Fund I with USD41.3 million in capital commitments.  Founded by Kathryn Cavanaugh in 2019, Capstar Ventures invests nationwide in innovative consumer companies.
