A new Irish financial services bill, which has been in the works for over five years, is expected to create 3,000 jobs by 2025, while attracting up to EUR20 billion per annum in global private capital, says Irish Funds.
The Kempen European Private Equity Fund has backed the senior management team at construction software company Eque2 to acquire the business from its existing shareholders.
Eque2 supplies business management software to more than 2,700 customers in the construction, housebuilding and contracting industries. Its software enables builders, contractors, architects, engineers and estimators to integrate the commercial and financial aspects of their business, driving efficiencies and ultimately improving profitability. Revenues have grown significantly over the last four years and it has proven to be exceptionally resilient during the Covid pandemic. Evox Therapeutics (Evox), an exosome therapeutics company, has raised GBP69.2 million (USD95.4 million) in a Series C financing round.
The financing was significantly oversubscribed with high demand from both existing and new investors. The Series C financing was led by Redmile Group who were joined by new investors OrbiMed and Invus. In addition to Redmile, all existing Series B investors reinvested, including major investors Oxford Sciences Innovation (OSI), GV (formerly Google Ventures) and Cowen Healthcare Investments. Eurazeo has sold part of its stake in iM Global Partner to IK Investment Partners and Luxempart, subject to the approval of the French Autorité des Marchés Financiers and the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier.
This comes after iM Global Partner, a global network dedicated to asset management, increased its assets under management by 65 per cent – of which 46 per cent was organic growth – to more than USD19 billion in the year to end December 2020. Ally.io, a hypergrowth technology company specialising in goal-setting and business execution software, has closed a USD50 million (GBP36.5 million) Series C funding round led by Greenoaks Capital.
Tiger Global, which led the company’s Series B round, and Madrona Venture Group also joined the round, as well as previous investors Accel, Addition Ventures, Founders’ Co-Op, and Vulcan Capital.
With this funding, Ally.io has raised a total of USD76 million (GBP55.4 million), making the three-year-old SaaS company the leading force in the OKR space and primed to revolutionise how companies integrate goals with every business rhythm.

Agronomics, a London-listed investor in alternative proteins with a focus on cellular agriculture and cultivated meat, has invested a further EUR2 million for 1,197 Preferred shares in existing investee company Meatable.
The Subscription will be paid using cash from the Company’s own resources and will take Agronomics’ total cash investment in Meatable to EUR5 million.
