Quaero Capital completed fundraising for Quaero European Infrastructure Fund II (QEIF II) at its EUR600 million hard cap, exceeding the initial target of EUR500 million set at its launch in July 2019.
The management company is also expecting additional investment capacity given the strong interest from investors for co-investment opportunities.
As a reminder, the fundraising for its previous EUR275 million investment vehicle (QEIF) ended in April 2017 and the fund has since been fully invested.

Tel Aviv-based global fund manager Liquidity Capital and Dubai-based Vault Investments are to form a joint USD100 million Venture Debt Investment fund based in Dubai.
The new fund will deploy debt financing funding aimed at fuelling technology financing in the Middle East, North Africa and Europe, and will leverage technology already in use by Liquidity in that company’s Asia-Pacific and US investments. As part of the partnership, Liquidity Capital and Vault investment will open offices in Dubai, to more effectively locate potential investments in the region.

Fast-growth UK businesses closed 2020 in their strongest position, attracting more than GBP3.8 billion of Venture Capital (VC) investment during the final quarter of the year, according to new figures.
Despite further Covid-19 related restrictions being in place, Q4 was the strongest quarter of the year for VC-backed deals, according to KPMG’s Global Venture Pulse Survey. The GBP3.8 billion raised was a 65 per cent increase on the GBP2.3 billion raised in Q3, although the volume of deals was significantly down. 343 deals were done from October through to December, with deal volume falling quarter-on-quarter throughout the year.
The total number of registered Jersey Private Funds (JPFs) has grown by almost two-fifths year-on-year, according to the latest figures, as the structure continues to assert its appeal for cross-border alternative fund structuring.
According to the latest quarterly statistics collated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission and published by Jersey Finance, there were 365 JPFs at the end of September 2020, a number that has risen by 37 per cent compared to the same time the previous year.
