AnaCap Financial Partners (AnaCap), a specialist mid-market private equity investor, has made its first investment in India, the acquisition of three K-12 school and student housing assets from the Jain Group of Institutions (JGI Group), an established and well-renowned operator of K-12 to Higher Education institutions, providing education to ~65,000 students.
In doing so, AnaCap has formed a joint venture with Cerestra Advisors (Cerestra), a specialist investor in Indian education assets. The firms have been working together for more than 18 months with the aim to help support the growing education system in India through investment.

Ropes & Gray has advised Averna Capital, a mid-market European private equity firm, on its investment in ClimateCare, a profit with purpose environmental and social impact company headquartered in Oxford, UK. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Mid-market private equity firm LDC has exited its investment in workforce management software specialist Mitrefinch to Advanced.The exit follows a four-year partnership that saw Mitrefinch invest heavily in technology as it transformed into a market leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) business, doubling revenues to £24million and increasing employee numbers by 64 per cent.

Innova Capital, a Central European private equity firm, has sold its entire stake in logistics operator PEKAES to sector player GEODIS of France. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.PEKAES recorded excellent value progression and impressive growth since Innova’s entry into the company in late 2015. Over that period the business saw EBITDA rise by over 100 per cent thanks to economies of scale and increasing efficiency. SALTO Systems (SALTO), a manufacturer of electronic access control solutions, has acquired Gantner Electronic Austria Holding (Gantner). With a combined workforce of 1,200 employees in 40 countries, including more than 230 dedicated to R&D, a turnover of EUR260 million and over a million access points delivered each year, the combined group consolidates its position as a global leader in electronic access control.
The transaction was financed by a combination of capital increase, bank financing and cash.

EMPI is a niche market leader in aftermarket automotive parts with a focus on parts for European vehicles, while RacingLine Group is a well-known and fast-growing provider of premium, branded, high-performance parts and software for Volkswagen and Audi vehicles as well as related programs and events.
