Inflexion is to acquire a majority stake in Nomentia, a European treasury and cash management software provider, from current investors PSG Equity and Verdane. The investment is being made by Inflexion’s Buyout Fund VI.  Helsinki-headquartered Nomentia is a modular, cloud first software provider delivering a portfolio of solutions to the cash & treasury management segment around bank connectivity, payments, cash visibility and forecasting, trade finance, and risk & reporting. Nomentia’s base of 1,400-plus blue chip customers spans a wide range of industries and geographies across Europe with the firm’s solutions used in over 80 countries to process more than €1.2
Lyric Capital Group, a New York-based private equity firm that specialises in investing in music copyrights, has closed its second fund, with total commitments of approximately $410 million, exceeding its target with support from a diverse group of new and existing institutional investors. 
Brookfield Asset Management is looking to secure around $20 billion in capital commitments for its latest fund which will focus on investments in the the global transition to clean energy from fossil fuels, according to a report by Bloomberg. Unnamed Bloomberg sources have confirmed that fundraising for the new fund, Brookfield’s second energy transition investment vehicle, is expected to start by the middle of the year. Depending on investor demand, the fund may eventually raise as much as $25 billion. Spex Capital, an early-stage investor in healthtech solutions, is targeting €100 million for a new investment vehicle, the Spex Venture HealthTech Fund, which will invest globally in early-stage healthtech ventures, from seed to Series A, up to €5 million. The fund is a designated Article 9 impact fund under the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). Alternative credit investment firm Crescent Capital Group has held the final close of its eighth private credit solutions fund, Crescent Credit Solutions VIII, at $8 billion in investable capital, including targeted leverage and separately managed accounts investing alongside the fund – the largest capital raise in the firm’s history. 
Dubai-based Cypher Capital is looking to raise over $100 million for a new venture capital fund that will look to invest in startups focused on web3 and blockchain technology businesses, according to a report by Bloomberg.

Warburg Pincus has joined a growing list of investment firms looking to target local currency investment opportunities in China through its first ever yuan-denominated fund, which is targeting a RMB3 billion ($439 million) fundraise, according to a report by Reuters.
NextPower UK ESG a solar infrastructure fund, which is backed by the UK government’s new national infrastructure bank, has held its third close with £595 million (€675m) in capital commitments, according to a report by Investment & Pensions Europe.
AIFs and UCITS saw net outflows of €278 billion in 2022, compared to net inflows of €888 billion in 2021, according to the latest monthly Investment Fund Industry Fact Sheet Net from the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA). Assets of European investment funds meanwhile, declined by 12.4%, to drop below the €20 trillion threshold. According to EFAMA’s data, UCITS suffered net outflows of €175 billion in 2022, the first annual decline since 2011. Global private markets investment firm Northleaf Capital Partners, has held the final close of its third flagship secondaries fund, Northleaf Secondary Partners III, with $1.3 billion of committed capital.
