The Ocean 14 Capital fund, which focuses exclusively on the multi-trillion-dollar ‘blue economy’, has received a commitment of €10 million from the  Constitutional Reserve Fund of Monaco to support its mission of funding sustainable solutions to improve ocean health.

Baring Private Equity Asia Ltd (BEPA) has gathered secured capital commitments totalling around $11 billion for its latest and biggest fund to date, according to a report by Bloomberg. Jera Capital, a Copenhagen-based investment management firm focused on the private equity secondary market, has successfully achieved the first closing of its new Luxembourg private equity fund, Jera Direct Access Private Equity (Jera DAPE) which is structured as a RAIF, and is well on track to reach EUR100 million within its first year of operation.  The fund aims to invest its clients’ capital in a responsible way by integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors in line with the UN SDG themes. Golding Capital Partners, an independent asset manager for alternative investments, has held successful final closings for its two current infrastructure funds, with total commitments of some €1.5 billion.  The flagship fund of funds “Golding Infrastructure 2020” closed at €943 million, significantly above its target of €700 million, making it the biggest fund in Golding’s company history and one of the largest fund of funds on today’s infrastructure market overall.  “Golding Infrastructure Co-Investment 2020” meanwhile, also closed well above its original target at €578 million, thanks to strong investor demand. Welkin China Private Equity Limited (WCPE) is to launch an IPO on the Premium Segment of the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. The Company is targeting a raise of up to $300 million and expects to publish its Prospectus in the coming days. EQT has set the target size for the EQT Infrastructure VI fund at €20 billion. The actual fund size is dependent on the outcome of the fundraising process and may be higher or lower than the target size. The EQT Infrastructure VI fund’s investment strategy and commercial terms are expected to be materially in line with the predecessor fund EQT Infrastructure V. To ensure continuity between two fund generations, EQT’s capital raisings usually follow a cycle with successor funds targeted to be in a position to commence investment activities when the predecessor fund is close to being fully invested. Stafford Capital Partners has closed its latest fund with €731 million in capital commitments making it the largest in the private markets firm’s history, and taking the firm’s total infrastructure AUM to $1.7 billion, according to a report by AlternativesWatch. Stafford also raised an additional £100 million ($116 million) for a managed account that will focus on geographically targeted infrastructure secondary transactions.  With 13 closed transactions to date and another three more in the pipeline, the Stafford Infrastructure Secondaries Fund IV targets investments in existing core infrastructure funds, predominantly in Europe, North America and Australasia, through LP as well as
COPE Private Equity is planning to launch its fifth fund next year following the full deployment of the current COPE IV Fund which is expected by Q1 2023, according to a report by Deal Street Asia. The report cites the firm’s founder and managing director Azam Azman as revealing that the the next investment vehicle, COPE V, will be open to businesses in the wider Southeast Asia region with a Malaysian subsidiary or presence, rather than just Malaysian companies.  The target size of the fund has not been revealed but COPE’s current AUM reportedly stands at around $150 million.
Stafford Capital Partners (Stafford) has held the final close of Stafford Infrastructure Secondaries Fund IV (SISF IV) with the €731 million in commitments from 33 investors across 13 countries, making it the firm’s largest fund to date. Alongside these commitments, Stafford raised an additional £100 milion managed account for geographically focussed infrastructure secondary transactions.   With 13 closed transactions and a further three in exclusivity, Stafford expects to have committed 75% of capital commitments to the fund in Q4 2022.
