G2 Venture Partners, a venture capital firm focused on investment in technology companies, has promoted Neel Mehta to partner. Metha joined the firm in August 2021 as an investor and helped drive G2’s investment in Locus Robotics.

Metha leads the firm’s work in areas such as mobility and robotics, while also supporting G2’s existing portfolio of investments including Seegrid, Trove, and others.

Prior to joining G2, Metha was an early operator at Zoox, a start-up developing a fully autonomous, all-electric vehicle purpose-built for urban ride-sharing. During his five-year tenure, Metha led the company’s strategy, go-to-market, corporate development, and FP&A teams. He served on the core deal team in Zoox’s subsequent sale to Amazon, where he played key roles in negotiation, diligence, and integration.

Metha began his career at Morgan Stanley, where he partnered with top Wall Street Autos Analyst, Adam Jonas, on successful stock calls including Tesla (TSLA), Ferrari (RACE), and Fiat Chrysler (FCAU). Together, they researched disruptive trends in ride-sharing, electrification, and autonomous technology and developed frameworks to help institutional investors understand impending paradigm shifts in mobility. Prior to that, Metha was a Commodity Strategist and Equity Sales & Trading Analyst.

Mehta holds a BS in Economics and Public Policy Studies from Duke University. He sits on the board of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross.
