Garth T Troxell has joined Summer Street Capital, a Buffalo, New York-based private equity fund, as a partner.
Troxell will be actively engaged in all aspects of Summer Street's investment activities and portfolio management, and will lead Summer Street's investor relations efforts.
Troxell has a diverse experience base spanning consulting, private equity, and investment banking. Prior to joining Summer Street, he served as a consultant to investment banking and private equity clients. From 2002 to 2012, he was with Altius Associates, the private equity consulting and fund of funds firm, most recently as a partner and executive director.
"Serving as an advisor to institutional investors committing capital to private equity firms, Garth has a keen sense of what LP's need in a private equity partnership," says managing partner Mike McQueeney. "Garth will offer unique insight on developing current and new investor relationships, and will help us refine our investor communications and reporting processes."
Troxell also has significant investment banking experience, having started his career at Harris Williams, a mid-market M&A firm, and he was a co-founder of Cobblestone Advisors, a small deal focused subsidiary of Harris Williams.
