Generation Investment Management, a sustainable investment manager founded in 2004, has appointed Chris Ragona, an industry veteran with 25 years of private equity and business building experience, as a partner focused on the firm’s long-term equity strategy.
Ragona will join Long-term Equity’s global leadership team and remain based in North America, expanding Long-term Equity’s geographic footprint.
Long-term Equity is Generation’s private equity strategy that makes long-term investments in a small number of high quality businesses that the team believes can also be sustainability leaders in their industries. Long-term Equity targets platform companies with significant scale, strong growth and proven business models. The current portfolio comprises two sustainability platform businesses, FNZ and Octopus Energy, which are both demonstrating exceptional business performance and measurable sustainability impact over the long term.
Ragona joins Generation from Providence Equity Partners, where he spent over 15 years.
