Gilde Healthcare invests in surgical instruments manufacturer Koscher & Würtz

Gilde Healthcare, a private investment firm focused on venture & growth and PE investments in the healthcare sector, has acquired Kosher & Würtz (K&W), a German contract manufacturer of precision surgical instruments.

K&W joins another instrument contract manufacturing company in Gildes’ portfolio, Chr Diener which was acquired 18 months ago. Together, the two businesses employ about 300 staff members, and will be able to offer clients a broader portfolio of products, while benefitting from sharing of expertise and best practices.

Headquartered in Spaichingen (Germany), K&W, which was founded in 1983, develops and manufactures reusable- and disposable surgical instruments for Original Equipment Manufacturers.

Chr Diener was acquired by Gilde Healthcare in July 2022. Founded in 1900, the company designs and manufactures customer-specific reusable instruments for an international client base.
