HIG Capital has appointed Giuseppe Mirante as Managing Director of Bayside Capital, the firm’s distressed debt and special situations affiliate. Mirante, who has over 15 years of private equity and distressed debt experience, will be based in London.
Prior to joining Bayside, Mirante was Head of Distressed and Loan Research at BNP Paribas in London. Previously, He was a European credit and distressed analyst at Cyrus Capital and Trafalgar Asset Managers. He also co-founded and ran Tigon Capital, an advisory company for private equity and credit funds. He is fluent in German, Italian, Spanish and French and holds an MBA from Columbia University.
