Glenwood Private Equity, an independent investment firm headquartered in Seoul that focuses on upper middle-market corporate carve-out opportunities in South Korea, has closed its latest Glenwood Private Equity Fund III, with total commitments of $1.1bn, reaching its fundraising hard cap.
The fund exceeded its $1bn target and was significantly oversubscribed, receiving strong support from longstanding existing domestic investors as well as a broad base of new offshore limited partners.
These include leading institutional investors such as public pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers, foundations, and insurance companies across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America.
