Grafton Capital appoints new Partner

Grafton Capital, a growth investor in European technology companies, has appointed Simon Rowan as a Partner. 

Rowan joins Grafton Capital from Dunedin LLP, where he was a Partner and member of the Investment Committee which oversaw the highly successful Dunedin Buyout Fund III, which was focused on tech-enabled businesses.

Rowan led the technology enabled services investment team at Dunedin and sat on the Board of Incremental Group, a market leading digital transformation specialist. Prior to Dunedin, Rowan worked in New York in HSBC Investments fund of funds team before helping to establish HSBC UK Private Equity from London. He has significant investor NXD experience which has encompassed organic and acquisitive growth strategies, international expansion, technology investment, management strengthening and exit planning. Simon is currently a board advisor to an award winning and highly disruptive EdTech business.

Founded in 2014, Grafton Capital has invested over GBP100 million in business and enterprise software companies. It typically invests GBP5-GBP20 million in categories including software, data and analytics, online platforms or marketplaces. Its capital is invested to fund the next phase of growth, to provide founder liquidity, and to provide an exit for legacy shareholders. In its most recent investment, in July 2021, Grafton Capital invested EUR18 million in Xtremepush, a high growth software business providing a multi-channel engagement platform to businesses globally.
