Grant Thornton UK is preparing to bring on 160 new partners over the next two years, following a strategic investment by Cinven, according to a report by Bloomberg. Recruitment firms Korn Ferry and Wilton & Bain have been appointed to advise the process.
Cinven bought a 60% stake in the accountancy firm in April. Grant Thornton UK currently has 280 partners. The investment was made with the goal of reaching £1bn in revenue.
Chief Executive Malcom Gomersall reportedly said in an interview that the company is looking to “scale the business to the size we believe our clients want us to, which is very significantly bigger than where we are today.”
