Graycliff Partners appoints operating partner

Graycliff Partners has appointed Gregory Olson, former Chief Development Officer for Ichor Systems, as an Operating Partner.

In this role, Olson will work closely with Graycliff’s investment team to source and evaluate new transactions and support current portfolio company management teams within Graycliff’s dedicated equity strategy.
Prior to Ichor, Olson was the President and CEO of Talon Innovations, a Graycliff portfolio company, from 2012-2017. Under his leadership, Talon grew organic EBITDA 10X, acquired two companies, and added over 350 new jobs. Prior to joining Talon, Olson spent seventeen years at Graco Inc in executive roles including Director of Global Engineering and Director of Global Product Marketing.
“We are excited to have Greg as a dedicated member of our investment team,” says Andrew Trigg, Graycliff Managing Partner. “We have worked closely with Greg and found his judgment, operating expertise and leadership skills well aligned with Graycliff’s investment strategy. We believe his contributions will be integral to managing growth and creating value in Graycliff’s portfolio.”
“Graycliff was an invaluable partner during my time at Talon,” says Olson. “I look forward to working with the team in this new capacity.”
Graycliff is also pleased to announce the promotion of Duke Punhong to Managing Partner and Brandon Martindale to Managing Director. Punhong joined Graycliff’s predecessor, HSBC Private Equity, in 2004 from Cornerstone Equity Investors and prior to Cornerstone was a banker in the Financial Sponsors group at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. Martindale joined in 2008 from the Corporate and Investment Banking group at Wachovia Securities.
