Greencoat Capital (Greencoat), one of Europe’s largest renewables investment managers, with around USD10 billion under management, has made two senior hires to work alongside Jamie Milne and bolster its fundraising capability globally.
Continuing the firm’s strategic expansion and successful investments in continental Europe and the USA, Greencoat Capital is broadening its strategic relationships with investors from both regions with plans to raise capital for specific investment strategies in the near future.
Barend Bloemarts has joined the firm as head of European investor relations. He brings more than 14 years of experience in alternative investments, of which the last five years have been spent in investor relations within the infrastructure space. Barend joined from DIF Capital Partners, an infrastructure
investment manager, where he was a senior member of the investor relations and business development team. Barend started his career at AlpInvest Partners, a private equity investment manager, in 2006. Barend holds a MSc in Economics from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
Coen Weddepohl has joined the firm as head of US investor relations. He brings more than 23 years of strategy, investment and sales experience spanning private equity, hedge funds and impact investment, including eight years at Man Group where he led the Environmental Finance team. Coen has been based in New York since 2014. Coen holds a MSc in Economics from the University of Maastricht, the Netherlands.
Barend and Coen will work alongside Jamie Milne who heads Greencoat’s investor relations in the UK and Ireland.
