Hamilton Lane expands senior team

Private markets asset management firm Hamilton Lane has made a number of firm-wide promotions, naming seven professionals to the title of Principal.

 “We congratulate this group of individuals and recognise their contributions to the organisation. With promotions across the firm’s investment, product and strategic technology platforms, as well as our client service functions, we have enhanced our senior team to better serve our new and existing clients around the world,” says Mario Giannini (pictured), CEO of Hamilton Lane. “The last year has been one full of milestones for Hamilton Lane, and the continued development of our deep bench of talent and experience across business areas and geographies is no exception.”
 
The promotions span a number of continents, and include individuals from the firm’s offices in London; Tel Aviv; Tokyo; and its Bala Cynwyd, PA headquarters.
 
The following individuals have all been promoted to Principal: Michael Augustine, Client Services, Bala Cynwyd; Ryan Cooney, Product Management, Bala Cynwyd; Corina English, Relationship Management, Bala Cynwyd; Zoe Nakash, Relationship Management, Tel Aviv; David Planvig, Business Development, London; Katsushi Sakurai, Relationship Management, Tokyo; and Julie Shenkman, Strategic Technology, Bala Cynwyd.

In the last year, the firm also opened an office in Sydney, Australia, appointing James Martin, Principal, to lead the office. In addition, it expanded its Real Assets capabilities through the acquisition of a firm based in Portland, OR which added a team of nine investment professionals, including Managing Directors Steve Gruber and Brent Burnett, and Principal Scott Davies.
 
Other key appointments in the last year include Chris Corrao, a Managing Director and Head of Operations of the firm’s Client Services team; Elina Magid, a Principal on the Finance team responsible for oversight of the firm’s Fund Accounting operations; and Shannon Chow, a Principal on the Relationship Management team based in Hong Kong.
