HarbourVest Partners, a global private markets investment specialist, has marked its 40th anniversary.
Founded in 1982 by Brooks Zug and Ed Kane, HarbourVest has committed more than $49 billion to newly-formed funds across its private markets platform, completed over $40 billion in secondary purchases, and invested over $27 billion directly in operating companies across many sectors and through multiple economic cycles.
HarbourVest has supported more than 30,000 portfolio companies and held more than 900 advisory seats. Today, HarbourVest is a trusted partner to its clients and general partners around the world with more than $92 billion in AUM.
