Global law firm Hogan Lovells has appointed Todd M Schwartz as a partner in its corporate & finance practice group and private equity practice area, in the firm’s Silicon Valley office. Schwartz joins from Paul Hastings, where he was also a partner.
Schwartz advises companies and private equity and venture capital funds on their capital solution needs, from raising capital to deployment and management. He advises clients on strategic and private equity mergers and acquisitions; private equity and venture capital fund formation and operation; minority, co-investment, and venture capital investments; carveouts; and restructurings, workouts, and in and out of court restructuring and distressed investments.
The addition of Schwartz comes at a time of growth for the firm’s private equity practice. Earlier this year, private equity partner Matt McTygue joined the firm’s Boston office. Other recent private equity partners who have joined the firm include John Livesey in London and Adrienne Ellman in New York.
Schwartz’s arrival is also part of a renewed focus on California for the firm and commitment to growth in the state’s major legal markets, including Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
