Honigman expands private equity practice

Honigman has appointed Norbert Knapke as a partner in the firm’s Chicago office. He will serve as a member of the Corporate department and Private Equity practice group.

Knapke’s practice focuses on counselling private equity firms and operating companies on various transactional matters, such as acquisitions, recapitalisations, divestitures, financings and governance. He joins Honigman’s Chicago office from Kirkland & Ellis, where he worked on matters ranging from private and public target acquisitions, growth equity investments, initial public offerings, structuring executive compensation plans and debt financings.

Knapke earned his JD, magna cum laude, from Duke University School of Law. He graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Notre Dame with a BA.
