Houlihan Lokey adds senior deal professional to illiquid financial asset practice

Harry Green has joined Houlihan Lokey’s illiquid financial asset (IFA) practice as a director with a primary focus on transaction execution.

Green is based in New York, reporting to Jeff Hammer and Paul Sanabria, co-heads of IFA.

Green previously worked in the specialty finance and private portfolio group at Plainfield Asset Management, where he actively managed the specialty finance portfolio and ultimately was responsible for liquidation of these and other illiquid assets under the firm's management.  For most of the prior decade he worked in private equity, most notably for six years at Doughty Hanson & Co.

“Houlihan Lokey’s IFA practice continues to experience significant growth in the number and type of transactions we are executing – a growth which requires seasoned, experienced deal professionals to handle the increasing complexity of our business,” says Hammer.  “Harry Green is a perfect match for our business, as he has worked at both private equity and hedge funds and has a deeply engrained principal perspective that we believe makes for a better advisor. We’re delighted that he’s joined the team.”

“Having experienced first-hand the IFA team’s expertise and capabilities as a client, I am confident that I’m joining a first-class platform at Houlihan Lokey,” says Green. “This is a particularly exciting time to be joining IFA given its current expansion plans and recent track record of success. I’m excited to be part of this group.”
