ICG, a global alternative asset manager with over €82bn of assets, is to make a €400m investment in Enfinity Global, a specialist in renewable energy to fund the completion of the firm’s 17GW portfolio, including 7.3 GW of energy storage assets.
With 1 GW of operational assets globally, Enfinity Global is one of the world’s fastest growing independent power producers, and a leading renewable energy developer in Italy.
The investment fits with ICG strategy of investing in businesses within the renewable energy sector in Europe and the US which have an active role in supporting the transition to net zero. ICG will work with Enfinity’s management team to build and operate the existing projects in the long-term, whilst continuing to support organic and inorganic expansion.
The investment is subject to relevant regulatory approvals.
