European private equity firm IK Partners has successfully closed its tenth midcap fund, IK X Fund, at its $3.3bn hard cap, marking the firm’s largest fundraise to date.
Building on the momentum of its predecessor, IK IX Fund, which secured €2.8bn in 2020, IK X attracted strong demand from a high-calibre institutional investor base. Allocations were diversified across EMEA (64%), Asia (20%), and the Americas (16%), with a record level of capital committed by new limited partners.
The fundraise follows a period of unprecedented investment activity for IK, with the firm completing 20 new platform investments and 11 exits since the start of 2024.
IK X has already deployed capital into seven investments and will remain focused on acquiring established European mid-market businesses valued above €200m across its core sectors: Business Services, Healthcare, Consumer, and Industrials.
