iMedX, a healthcare software and services company, has received a USD13m equity investment from RFE Investment Partners of New Canaan, Connecticut.
iMedX will use the proceeds to fund strategic acquisitions, expand its sales and marketing infrastructure, and develop new software products.
Based in Connecticut with offices in Ohio and Florida, iMedX currently serves over 60 health systems, over 500 clinics, and several state governments, providing medical documentation services and software over the internet.
Concurrent with RFE’s investment, iMedX acquired Medware, a provider of medical transcription services to hospital systems throughout the US. In addition, the company is actively pursuing several additional acquisition opportunities.
