Mid-market private equity firm Inflexion has made two new additions to its teams with the appointments of Yuri Mikhalev as a Partner focused on technology investments and Michael Baster as a Partner focused on business services investments.
Mikhalev brings 16 years investment experience focused on the technology sector and will work alongside Sergio Ferrarini on new technology investments for Inflexion’s Buyout and Partnership Capital Funds. He joins Inflexion from Keensight Capital where he focused on technology investments across West Europe as a Partner and member of the Investment Committee. Previously Mikhalev was part of the team that launched Volpi Capital, a European mid-market tech specialist.
Baster brings 14 years investment experience focused on the mid-market and will help oversee the Enterprise Fund’s business services investments, working closely with Inflexion Partner Andrew Mainwaring. He joins Inflexion from Crescent Capital Partners where he was a Partner and member of the Investment Committee. Prior to this Baster was at Bain & Company where he was a management consultant focused on the APAC region across a broad range of sectors.
These latest appointments take the total of new joiners at Inflexion so far in 2024 to 30 across the firm’s offices in UK, Benelux, DACH and Nordics.
