Inflexion’s portfolio company Kynetec, a specialist in agricultural and animal health market research, has acquired the agriculture and animal health business of Ipsos North America.
Ipsos agriculture and animal health in North America comprises two locations: St. Louis in the US and Guelph in Canada.
The acquisition brings additional market research expertise to Kynetec’s team, adding 25 experienced professionals to its team of 250 market researchers.
By combining the staff and methodologies from Ipsos agriculture and animal health with Kynetec’s custom team, along with a considerable investment in innovation, Kynetec expects substantial strengthening of its North American business.
In addition, Kynetec will now have operations in Canada, increasing its global presence to 21 countries.
Stephen Hearn, Kynetec CEO, says: “The acquisition will allow Kynetec to transform the agricultural and animal health market research landscape. Additionally, we are ensuring that Kynetec is able to reshape and grow in an industry rapidly changing as a result of client mergers and acquisitions as well as a technology revolution.”
Mark Williams, partner at Inflexion, says: “We’re delighted to announce this strategic acquisition for Kynetec, completed within our first year of investment. Ipsos North America is a natural fit for Kynetec, bringing added market research capabilities and strengthening our presence across one of the leading global markets.”
