Insight Partners mulls $2bn Community Brands sale

Insight Partners is considering selling Community Brands, a provider of software applications for donations, peer-to-peer fundraising, admissions and events, for up to $2 billion, including debt, according to a report by Bloomberg.

Insight Partners is considering selling Community Brands, a provider of software applications for donations, peer-to-peer fundraising, admissions and events, for up to $2 billion, including debt, according to a report by Bloomberg.

The report cites unnamed sources as revealing that the New York-based investment firm is working with FT Partners to find potential suitors, with both larger software vendors and private equity firms considered potential acquirers. 

Formed in 2017 through the combination of YourMembership, Abilta and Aptify, Community Brands has made subsequent acquisitions including BigSIS in August of this year. 

According to the company’s website, Community Brands serves over 100,000 clients in 30 countries including 3M Co, IBM, Habitat for Humanity and Girl Scouts.
