Global software investor Insight Partners has raised $118m for Insight Vision Capital II, its second 20/20 Vision Capital fund, which will focus on investments in diverse-led, top-tier, early-stage venture capital funds.

Global software investor Insight Partners has raised $118m for Insight Vision Capital II (Fund II), its second 20/20 Vision Capital fund, which will focus on investments in diverse-led, top-tier, early-stage venture capital funds.

The new fund follows on the heels of the first 20/20 Vision Capital Fund, which raised $15m entirely through capital commitments from senior partners of Insight. Fund II, a dedicated additional fund, includes the capital of both Insight’s GPs and institutional limited partners, including Massachusetts Pensions Reserves Investment Management Board (MassPRIM), Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS), Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois, New York State Common Retirement Fund (NYSCRF) and Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo).

20/20 Vision Capital Fund II has already made commitments to funds managed by Act One Ventures Management, Hannah Grey Ventures, LLC, F7 Ventures, SH Fund Management, Wischoff Ventures, Ansa Capital Management, Vesey Ventures, Springbank Collective, and Mastry Ventures, some of which are first time funds.
