Invesco has expanded its private equity fund of funds team with the addition of two investment professionals, Michele Serrao and Evan Darr, who will focus on sourcing and analysing partnership opportunities.
‘Michele and Evan bring terrific private equity experience to our team and add new relationships that will benefit our alternative asset portfolios,’ says Phil Shaw, who runs the Invesco Private Capital fund of funds investment team together with Mary Kelley. ‘We look forward to working with them, and leveraging their investment talent.’
Serrao and Darr, who bring the number of investment professionals on the fund of funds team to nine, both join from Atlantic Trust, the private wealth management business of Invesco, and have worked with the Invesco Private Capital team in the past.
Serrao, who becomes a partner, has spent the past 10 years in the alternatives arena, directing Atlantic Trust’s USD4.5bn multi-manager programme for private wealth clients, evaluating private equity fund opportunities as well as private real estate and hedge funds.
Darr, who joins as a senior associate, has been involved with due diligence assignments on private equity managers and performance monitoring while at Atlantic Trust, which he joined in 2003.
Established in 1982, the Invesco Private Capital private equity fund of funds team has invested in the venture capital, leveraged buyout and other private equity funds, committing USD3.9bn to more than 400 partnerships, and offers private equity funds of funds as well as separately managed and customised portfolios.
