Investec Growth & Leveraged Finance adds new hires to team

Investec Growth & Leveraged Finance (Investec) has made two new appointments to its team, as it continues to bring in new external talent.

Tim van Heusden joins from ABN Amro, where he spent seven years and was an Associate Director in the bank’s leveraged finance arm in Amsterdam. Van Heusden will create additional bandwith and focus on the bank’s lending abilities in the Benelux alongside Alexandre Neiss, who has spearheaded Investec’s lending in the region since 2014.

Fred Kinsman joins from Deloitte’s private equity debt advisory team, and prior to that spent five years at Commonwealth Bank, working in the bank’s acquisition and leveraged finance business. At Investec he will focus on UK cashflow lending.

Investec’s Growth & Leveraged Finance team continues to grow at pace, having announced four further additions to the team in May. The latest hires bring the total head count to 37, and follows the close of Investec’s inaugural debt fund in late 2020.

Callum Bell, Head of Growth & Leveraged Finance at Investec, says: “These new appointments demonstrate our continued momentum within our team and focus on building our European platform. Over the last six months, we have announced three sets of hires and are excited to be expanding the team as we grow our offering.

“We are especially excited by our increased investment in talented people, focusing on mainland Europe with the hire of Tim who will help us to drive further growth in the Benelux region alongside Alexandre Neiss. We continue to invest strongly in our European capabilities and continue to have high growth ambitions in these markets.”
