JCRA Group has recruited former Cardinal Risk Advisors duo, Gina Sullivan and Peter Turk, who join the firm’s New York office and will be responsible for financial sponsors in private equity as well as the wider corporate client base.
The experienced pair will bolster JCRA’s expertise in the provision of independent hedging advice for interest rates and foreign exchange risk. JCRA Group recently completed an MBO and highlighted that these client sectors are a key opportunity for growth in the US market.
JCRA Group CEO, Jackie Bowie, says: “The demand for truly independent risk management advice across interest rates, currency and inflation hedging is increasing significantly and JCRA is extremely well positioned, with almost 30 years of expertise and a first class advisory team, to assist clients in the analysis and execution of their hedging decisions. Bringing the Cardinal Risk team into the business will cement our offering in this area of financial advice.”
“We have established a strong position in the USA in the infrastructure and project finance sectors, and adding the expertise and client base of Gina and Peter allows us to significantly expedite our growth plans into private equity also,” says JCRA North America CEO Bill Kloehn. “At JCRA, we provide the very best independent advice to our clients, and that calibre of advice can only come from people who have had direct experience in derivatives. These hires reinforce that ethos and add to JCRA’s exceptional US team.”
Gina Sullivan formerly of Cardinal Risk Advisors says: “By joining forces with JCRA, a global leader in risk management advisory, we can bring world-class resources to our Private Equity and Corporate client base. In addition to providing cost-effective and credit-efficient FX and Interest Rate risk management solutions, the JCRA platform brings sophisticated analytics, accounting expertise, valuation capabilities and global benchmarking to our US-based clients. We are excited to join the team and look forward to growing the business with the help of this superior platform.”
