International private equity firm CVC Capital Partners has announced the appointment of Kamil Salame as a partner and US head of its financial institutions group.
International private equity firm CVC Capital Partners has announced the appointment of Kamil Salame as a partner and US head of its financial institutions group.
The financial institutions group also comprises teams in Europe and Asia and is headed by managing partner Jonathan Feuer.
‘Kamil is an important addition to our team at a time when investment opportunities in the financial sector have never been greater,’ Feuer says. ‘His depth of experience in financial services and private equity will be incredibly valuable to CVC and our financial institutions team.’
Salame (pictured) joins CVC from DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, where he was a partner and member of the management committee and a managing director of the firm’s parent, Credit Suisse.
At DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, he led the group’s investment activities in financial services and media and completed around 30 private equity transactions in a broad range of industries including financial services, real estate, media, industrial, and consumer. Earlier Salame worked in the leveraged finance group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and at DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners.
