Andrew Turner and Imran Sami have joined the London office of law firm Katten Muchin Rosenman Cornish as partners, strengthening the firm’s expertise in areas including corporate transactions and alternative fund work.

Turner advises on UK and international taxation issues affecting financial institutions, investment funds and inward investors on structuring transactions such as cross-border acquisitions, joint ventures, fund formation, private equity downstream transactions, real estate investment, leveraged transactions and management buyouts.

He also has experience in acting for corporate executives and business owners in designing and implementing investment and exit strategies, executive compensation plans and other remuneration arrangements. Turner advised on the UK’s largest hybrid capital issue and the first pan-European asset-backed securities issue.

Sami advises on a broad range of corporate, domestic and cross-border public and private M&A and equity capital markets transactions, and has particular experience in advising investors and companies in private equity and venture capital transactions. Transactions he has worked on include a contested take-private deal involving of a very large UK company and the subsequent disposal of its property portfolio.
