Kinzie closes first institutional fund at $150m

Kinzie Capital Partners LP has held the final close of the company’s first institutional fund, Kinzie Fund II, with $150 million in total commitments, from a wide range of investors including foundations, endowments, pension funds and family offices.

Kinzie Capital Partners LP (Kinzie) has held the final close of the company’s first institutional fund, Kinzie Fund II, with $150 million in total commitments, from a wide range of investors including foundations, endowments, pension funds and family offices.

Kinzie’s strategy involves making control investments in US lower middle-market companies within manufacturing, business services and consumer industries. Kinzie targets companies with $3 to $15 million of EBITDA and up to $250 million in revenue. The team aims to unlock operational efficiencies and create new avenues for growth through technology enhancements and digital transformation.

Since its founding, Kinzie has expanded its team and acquired portfolio companies with a national reach including Illinois-based Colony Display LLC, New York-based Chelsea Lighting, LLC, and California-based GT Golf Holdings, Inc.
