Singapore-based private equity firm KV Asia Capital has held the final closing of its first fund, KV Asia Capital Fund I, on USD263m.
KV Asia Capital attracted commitments from a diverse range of global institutions, including pension funds, endowments, financial institutions, fund of funds and family offices.
“We are pleased with the positive response to our offering and the recognition we have received. We have a high calibre team and are now eager to execute on our commitment to help mid-sized companies grow through operational value add and cross border activity," says Karam Butalia, executive chairman at KV Asia Capital.
“The fund raising market continues to be challenging, but the success of KV Asia Capital demonstrates that top-tier performers with a proven long-term track record of delivering returns will continue to attract capital from major international investors,” says Niklas Amundsson, partner at MVision Private Equity Advisers.
The fund will seek to capitalise on the investment opportunities offered by the fast growing economies in South East Asia and to facilitate profitable change.
MVision Private Equity Advisers acted as global placing agent. O’Melveny & Myers acted as legal counsel.
