Lantern, a private markets data platform and technology provider, has appointed Charlie Markham as its first Chief Technology Officer, as part of plans to scale the company’s technological capabilities and drive the next phase of growth. He will be based in London.
In his new role, Markham will lead Lantern’s data science and engineering teams and will work closely with the wider leadership team to deliver technology as part of the company’s global expansion efforts. According to a press release, near-term priorities include incorporating Lantern’s natural language search functionality into the platform and delivering scenario modelling to enable forward-looking analysis.
Prior to Lantern, Markham was CTO at financial planning and reporting software firm, Metapraxis. He previously served in CTO and COO roles at scale-up technology firms including WeShop and financial institutions including UBS and HSBC.
