Laub Capital, a distressed asset investment fund with a focus on investment in European non-performing loans (NPLs), has appointed Andrea Novak as chief financial officer (CFO) based in the firm’s Budapest office.

Novak brings eight years of experience supporting the growth of several private equity and venture capital management companies, including Blackrock and more recently Herius Capital, where she held the position of CFO/COO.

As CFO at Laub, Novak will oversee the entirety of the firm’s financial operations and contribute to both the fundraising and strategic positioning of the firm with existing and potential investors and other stakeholders.

Since the firm’s inception in 2018, Laub has successfully invested in distressed asset portfolios across several jurisdictions across Europe, both from its Luxembourg based fund and also via funding directly from co-investors.
