Private equity investment firm LDC has increased its support for its portfolio company management teams with the appointment of Amit Thaper as Investment Director and Adam Philippsohn as Origination Director.
Thaper will be responsible for identifying potential investment opportunities in London with a focus on the healthcare sector and supporting the management teams of LDC’s portfolio businesses as they pursue their growth ambitions.
Thaper began his career as an orthopaedic surgeon with the NHS before moving into private equity nearly 15 years ago. He joins from Cairngorm Capital Partners, where he was a Managing Director and spent eight years supporting fast-growing mid-market healthcare businesses across the UK.
Philippsohn will focus on identifying ambitious management teams in London that would benefit from private equity investment, while also supporting LDC’s portfolio companies in finding opportunities for complementary buy-and-build acquisitions.
Philippsohn brings nearly 15 years’ experience in deal origination, with a strong track record across tech-enabled business services and TMT sectors. He joins from BGF, where he focused on sourcing investments in small and mid-sized businesses. Prior to this, Adam held roles in deal origination at Sovereign Capital Partners and Clearwater.
