Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP), a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, has appointed Brian Klaban as the firm’s new Head of Capital Markets and as a Director on the originations team. Klaban will be based in LLCP’s Chicago office.
Klaban, who joins LLCP with 20 years of financial services experience, will lead the firm’s debt capital markets activities across the platform and work with members of the LLCP investment team to identify and develop opportunities with a focus on the Midwest and Southeast US.
Before joining LLCP, Klaban served as Head of Business Development and Debt Capital Markets at Platte River Equity, a Colorado-based private equity firm. His background also includes various roles at Apogem Capital (formerly Madison Capital Funding), where he focused on origination, underwriting, distressed credit management, and portfolio management.
