Lyrical Partners announces the launch of Lytical Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused exclusively on opportunities in Corporate Intelligence, including Cybersecurity, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence.
Lytical Ventures builds on years of research and investment in Corporate Intelligence by Lytical’s team. Veteran venture capitalists Lucas Nelson and Steve Berg lead Lytical’s team, joining from Evolution Equity and Antecedent Ventures, respectively. Their day-to-day efforts are supported by, among others, Roselle Safran, who joins as an Entrepreneur in Residence, and by Jeremy Kroll and Tuvia Barak, who join as Venture Partners.
“Corporations are generating mind-boggling amounts of data, in excess of a billion gigabytes per day. These corporations have a responsibility to store, secure, and analyse this data. We believe helping entrepreneurs build world-class products and services to address such responsibility is an explosive growth opportunity,” said Lyrical Partners’ Founder and Chairman Jeffrey Keswin.
Lytical launches not only with its own investment, operational, and strategic resources, but also with the benefit of the resources of the Lyrical Partners’ platform and a soon-to-be announced advisory board, comprising distinguished strategic and technical advisors from among the world’s leading enterprises.
“Meeting corporate intelligence demands is a paramount consideration. The Kroll family has decades of experience helping enterprises across the globe address challenges and access solutions. We are excited to partner with and invest alongside the Lytical team,” said K2 Intelligence Co-Founder, CEO and Lytical Ventures Partner Jeremy Kroll.
Lytical’s first fund, a USD60 million fund focused on early-stage opportunities, has just held a first close, with over USD20 million in commitments, anchored by Lyrical Partners.
