Macfarlanes has advised private equity firm August Equity on its investment in accountancy and business services group, Anderson Anderson & Brown.
The business, which is headquartered in Scotland, supports a range of SME and enterprise clients, with a strong exposure to the energy, technology, business services, public and not for profit, food and drink and property and construction sectors.
The Macfarlanes team was led by corporate and M&A partner Simon Perry, alongside senior solicitor Nicholas Page and solicitors Brodie Thompson and Basra Marjan. Finance advice was provided by partner Kirstie Hutchinson and solicitor Bernardo Zang and employment advice came from senior solicitor Tabitha Al-Mahdawie. Tax advice came from senior counsel Sarah Shucksmith, financial services expertise was provided by senior solicitor Joy Davey and advice on commercial elements of the deal came from solicitor Mark Cusack.
