Main Capital Partners has appointed Jorn de Ruijter and Daan Visscher as partners. These appointments strengthen the firm’s leadership team and support Main’s continued international growth and ongoing professionalisation.
De Ruijter joined Main in 2016 and has played a central role in the firm’s development as head of fund structuring & investor relations. Under his leadership, Main successfully raised over €5.5bn and built a dedicated investor relations team of five professionals. He has also supported the Benelux investment team, most recently serving as investment director.
He has contributed to several successful investments and exits, including LOCATIQS (acquired by Sogelink in 2022), and helped establish Main’s Antwerp office. De Ruijter currently serves as chairman of the supervisory board of RiskConcile – a Belgian regtech specialist – which has recently completed strategic cross-border add-on acquisitions such as Fitz Partners and B4Finance.
Visscher began his career at Main in 2017 within the Benelux investment team. In 2019, he helped open Main’s Stockholm office, strengthening the firm’s presence in the Nordic region. In January 2023, he co-led the launch of Main’s affiliated office in Boston. Today, that team comprises eight professionals and has completed five platform investments. Most recently, Visscher led the investment in TrustArc – a global data privacy and artificial intelligence risk management software provider. Daan currently serves as co-head of North America and investment director and has been actively involved in multiple add-on acquisitions for European portfolio companies. He serves on the (supervisory) boards of five Main Capital portfolio companies such as Cloud Coach and LuxSci.
