Assetz Capital’s first ever rate rise saw investors add around GBP10 million to their Access Accounts in the first month.
The peer-to-peer business lender moved target interest rates for the Quick Access Account and 30-Day Access Account from 3.75 per cent to 4.10 per cent and from 4.25 per cent to 5.10 per cent respectively. The rate increase was announced on 16th May 2018 but was effective from 1 May 2018.
The increase in investment was across both ISA-wrapped and non-ISA accounts and has helped the ISA approach GBP50 million of investment in its first six months since launch.

Platinum Equity is to sell Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) to affiliates of Cerberus Capital Management, in a transaction valued at approximately EUR1.2 billion. The sale is expected to close during Q4 2018, subject to regulatory approval and certain closing conditions.
Since Platinum Equity acquired the company in 2015, WFS has grown significantly, both organically and through a transformative add-on acquisition, and is now the world’s largest air cargo handler and one of the world’s leading providers of ground handling and technical services, with annual revenues of more than EUR1.2 billion.

Micrima, a Bristol-based breast imaging company, has raised GBP4.4 million in additional equity funding led by Technology Venture Partners, The Angel CoFund(ACF), and Venture Founders – plus a group of returning and new individual investors – bringing the total amount raised to GBP10.7 million.

The company is a leading provider of contract consultants for information technology (IT) and staff augmentation for commercial customers.

Middle-market investment bank Harris Williams & Co has acted as exclusive advisor to Visma Sverige Holding AB (Visma) on its divestment of market-leading mass hosting providers Loopia and Active 24 to Axcel Management A/S (Axcel).
The transaction was led by Thierry Monjauze and Sylvain Noblet of Harris Williams & Co’s Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) Group and Krishna Patel of the firm’s London office.
Loopia and Active 24 offer web domains, shared web hosting and value-added services such as security, e-commerce and Microsoft Office 365. The products are sold online on a prepaid subscription basis to around 350,000 SME
Private equity veteran Thomas S Roberts, formerly Managing Partner at Summit Partners, has founded Equality Asset Management, a next-generation firm focused on making long-term investments in durable technology, healthcare, and tech-enabled growth companies.
Equality plans to implement an innovative fee structure that reflects the current return environment and more closely aligns General Partner and Limited Partner interests.
Prior to establishing Equality, Mr. Roberts served in a wide variety of roles at Summit, including Managing Director and Managing Partner, Executive Committee Member, Investment Committee Member, and Operating Committee Member. ADM Capital, a London and Hong Kong-based private credit fund manager, working closely with Tejara Capital and Houlihan Lokey, has led a successful USD520 million refinancing for International Oasis Holding Company KSCC (International Oasis).
ADM Capital led a consortium of international investors including certain funds and accounts managed by Empyrean Capital Partners, LP, NatWest Markets Plc and CQS Dedicated Opportunities Fund.
Funds managed by ADM Capital provided USD300 million of the total refinancing package. International Oasis’s investments include a stake in Aston Martin, the British luxury car brand.

JD Sports is based in Manchester, England, and is a retailer of sports, fashion and outdoor brands.
