UK private equity house Maven Capital Partners (Maven) has led a GBP3.5 million investment in Contego Fraud Solutions (Contego), to support the continued growth of the business. The transaction is being jointly funded by Maven and NVM Private Equity (NVM) which are investing GBP1.8 million and GBP1.5 million respectively. Privacy engineering software company, Privitar, has raised USD16 million in a Series A funding round led by Partech Ventures with participation from CME Ventures and Salesforce Ventures. Existing investors IQ Capital, 24Haymarket and Illuminate Financial have reinvested. Privitar will use the funds to accelerate the delivery of its product roadmap and core IP. White Oak Global Advisors and its affiliates have sourced arranged and provided a cornerstone commitment, alongside early commitments from funds advised by Permira Debt Managers, and HIG WhiteHorse, for a EUR164 million Senior Financing to support the acquisition of Getronics by strategic investor Bottega InvestCo. Getronics is a leading player in the ICT services sector in Europe, with strong positioning within medium to large-sized enterprises and with public institutions. Form3, a cloud-based, end-to-end, secure platform for global payments processing, has secured a strategic investment from Barclays, the Angel CoFund and several individual investors who have joined the existing shareholders in raising USD5 million. This latest funding will be used to continue building on Form3’s momentum in the UK and expand services across Europe and North America.   Form3 will use this round of funding to continue expanding its API based Payments-as-a-Service platform to offer clients real-time and interbank payment types. Activa Capital and Bpifrance have sold their stakes in Nexeya, a French group specialised in the design and manufacture of mission-critical electronic systems for major industrial companies primarily in the defence, aeronautics, space, energy, railway and automotive sectors.  After having substantially reinvested, Nexeya’s management now holds a majority stake in the group.   The operation, led by Nexeya managers Jean-Yves Rivière, Philippe Gautier, and Jérôme Giraud, gives the group’s management a 75 per cent majority stake in the company. CSM Bakery Solutions, a specialist in bakery ingredients, products and services, is selling its BakeMark business to Pamplona Capital Management. Synerlab has raised an additional EUR160 million in debt from its current partner ICG and Goldman Sachs. 21 Centrale Partners took over Synerlab in December 2013, with the support of Ardian, to create a pan-European CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation).   Over the past four years, Synerlab Group’s sales have grown by 30 per cent.   The new debt financing comprises several lines, giving the Group the means to refinance its current debt, finance its future investments and continue its external growth strategy, in particular through two strategic acquisitions abroad, which could be finalised in the coming months.  
Altitude Partners has launched Altitude Two, a capital growth focused private equity fund designed to benefit investors with investments qualifying for two significant HMRC reliefs: Business Property Relief and Investor Relief. Barings has acted as mandated lead arranger of senior secured credit facilities to support the acquisition of UK insurance brokerage Lark Group by Bowmark Capital-backed Aston Scott. Private equity firm MidOcean Partners is to sell Water Pik, a producer of branded oral health products and replacement showerheads, to Church & Dwight Co, a specialist in personal care, household and specialty products under the Arm & Hammer brand name and other well-known trademarks, for approximately USD1billion in cash.
