Technology investment firm Alpina Partners has acquired a significant stake in GefaSoft, a provider of MES-solutions (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and process visualisation software.
The three founders Franz Fuchs, Heinz Rabe and Ortwin Tischler will stay on as managing directors.
GefaSoft was founded in 1984 and developed into a leading provider of shop floor IT solutions. With its object-oriented process visualisation GraphPic and its scalable cloud-based software Legato Sapient the company offers MES-solutions for different industries. Customers include automotive OEMs as well as businesses in the pharmaceutical, food and renewable energy sector.

AMP Capital has raised USD2.4 billion for its global infrastructure platform at final close, with more than 50 institutional investors committing to its global mandate to invest in high-quality assets offering the best relative value.
The platform, which includes the AMP Capital Global Infrastructure Fund and the relaunched Strategic Trust of Europe (SITE), has attracted strong global interest particularly from investors in the UK, the US, Canada, Japan, Belgium, Denmark, Middle East, Ireland, Australia, Spain and Finland.

Omnes Capital has held the final closing of its Omnes Croissance 4 midcap fund at EUR210 million.
The fund, dedicated to investments in French SMEs, has closed above its initial target of EUR180 million.
Omnes Capital has received support from its long-standing investors as well as new French and foreign institutional investors, including banks, funds of funds, insurance companies, pension funds and family offices.

Law firm Noerr has advised Volkswagen Financial Services on the acquisition of around 51 per cent of LogPay Transport Services, a subsidiary of DVB Bank SE, expanding its stake in the cross-European business in fuel cards and service cards and the fuel trade.
By acquiring LogPay Transport Services, Volkswagen Financial Services will widen its diverse range of fuel and service cards, which focuses on well-known brands such as Aral, Shell, Total and AS24, to cover other suppliers as well.

Clearwater International has advised MML Capital Partners on its sale of Optionis to Sovereign owned Arkarius Group.
Trading under its brands Parasol and Clearsky, Optionis is a provider of accountancy and employment services to the UK’s flexible workforce.
MML invested in Optionis back in 2013. Since then the company has completed five acquisitions and improved its quality of earnings as it shifted focus towards a “personal service company” offering.
Arkarius is a provider of outsourced accounting services including year-end accounts, corporation tax and quarterly VAT calculations.

Private equity firm Constitution Capital Partners (CCP) has held the final close of Ironsides IV and related segregated mandates with total commitments of USD755 million.
Ironsides IV was oversubscribed and significantly exceeded the original USD500 million target.
As with its predecessor fund, Ironsides IV will focus on investments in primary funds with USD200 million to USD1.5 billion in commitments and direct investments with enterprise values between USD100 million and USD1 billion.
To date, Ironsides IV has completed four direct investments and seven fund investments.

Invenios, a micro-fabrication foundry specialising in glass structuring, micro glass packaging and glass bonding and a provider of consumables and devices for gene sequencing, bio-medical, sensor, electronic and optical applications, has acquired Varioptic, previously a business unit of Parrot Drones SAS, for an undisclosed amount.
Founded in 2002 in Lyon, France, Varioptic was acquired in May 2011 by Parrot.

Permira Debt Managers (PDM) is acting as sole lender in the refinancing of Away Resorts’ existing debt.
PDM’s support will also enable Away Resorts to acquire its sixth park, Sandy Balls, based in the New Forest.
In addition to the refinancing, PDM funds have also provided a capex facility to enable Away Resorts – a portfolio company of private equity firm LDC – to continue improving and expanding the range of facilities and accommodation provided across its six resorts.

Hamburg-based CEE Group is to acquire the Gollenberg wind farm currently under construction in Rheinland-Pfalz from juwi Energieprojekte, the company that is also responsible for the construction stage as general contractor.
The wind farm comprises six Vesta V126 turbines. The hub height is 137 m, the rotor diameter is 126 m and the wind farm’s total capacity amounts to 19.8 megawatts (MW).
After commissioning, the turbines will supply environmentally friendly power to about 15,000 households each year.
The wind farm is expected to be fully connected to the grid at the end of January 2017.
