Toro operates 51 company-owned and 24 franchised casual dining restaurants, mainly in Mexico City and with presence in 17 other states. True Potential, an integrated investor and wealth management tech platform serving UK advisers and retail clients, has sold a significant minority share to FTV Capital, its first institutional investor. The transaction values True Potential in excess of GBP150 million. In addition to the funding, FTV Capital’s Brad Bernstein and Kyle Griswold have joined the company’s board of directors.   Founded in 2007, True Potential LLP has built one of the UK’s most innovative financial services groups. Rizk Ventures Colombia (RVC), an affiliate of Rizk Ventures, and Goldman Sachs have formed a joint venture to invest in sale-leaseback transactions in the Colombian hospital market. Amaya Capital Ltd and Azura Power Holdings Ltd have reached financial close for Amaya Capital’s Flagship West Africa power investment, the 450MW Azura-Edo Independent Power Project in Edo State, Nigeria. The USD876 million transaction is the first of a new wave of project-financed greenfield IPPs currently being developed in Nigeria. The financing of the Azura-Edo IPP involves USD190 million of equity and USD686 million of debt from a consortium of local and international financiers.

Iran-based financial services group Turquoise Partners is launching an Iran-focused private equity fund in partnership with REYL Finance (MEA) Ltd, REYL & Cie’s Dubai based entity. The new fund will be broadly focused on the rise of the Iranian consumer and will include, but will not be limited to, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals and hospitality.
