Private equity funds affiliated with Hellman & Friedman have acquired a controlling interest in Italian software company TeamSystem Holding from Hg Capital, Bain Capital, ICG and the company’s management team The management will continue to invest in the business going forward and HgCapital intends to retain a minority stake. TeamSystem, founded in 1979, is a leading provider of software applications to professionals and enterprises in Italy across different segments, offering a broad range of business-critical, on-premise and on-cloud solutions to a diversified base of over 200,000 customers. Masabi, a specialist in mobile ticketing and fare collection for transportation, has completed a USD12 million funding round with investment from international public transport operator Keolis, Lepe Partners, MasterCard, and existing investor MMC Ventures.  This latest round, including corporate partners for the first time, marks a step change in Masabi’s growth and speed to market.   Masabi’s JustRide platform is a cloud-based, end-to-end mobile ticketing and fare collection system, in use in cities worldwide. It comprises apps for ticket purchase, display and inspection, together with back-end infrastructure for secure payments, ticket management, ticket inspection, customer service, reporting and real-time analytics.
Aviva has launched Aviva Ventures, a wholly owned venture capital business which will invest in a range of digital and new technology businesses.  Aviva Ventures will provide early stage investment to back entrepreneurs with high growth businesses and, over time, expects to have a portfolio of small investments in a number of companies which have significant potential. Housed at Aviva’s Digital Garage in London’s Hoxton Square, Aviva Ventures will look to commit approximately £20m per year over the next five years. Renaissance Capital, an emerging and frontier markets investment bank, has completed two debt capital markets transactions last week. A USD50 million Eurobond issue for ABH Ukraine, the sole shareholder of Alfa Bank Ukraine. The new bond issue was a Reg S market only transaction with a one-year maturity and a coupon rate of 10%. Alfa-Bank Ukraine is a leading Ukrainian commercial bank with international capital. The bank ranks among the ten largest banks in Ukraine, according to the National Bank of Ukraine. MEAG, Munich Re’s asset manager, is to acquire 38.4 MW of wind power developed by Eolus in a deal worth SEK425 millon. The agreement covers the delivery of eight Vestas V112 3.3 MW wind turbines for a total of 26.4 MW in wind farm Iglasjön in Kungsbacka municipality and the operational 12 MW wind farm Jung-Åsa comprising of six Vestas V90 2.0MW wind turbines in Vara municipality. Gousto, the recipe box delivery company, has raised an additional GBP9 million bringing the total raised to date by the firm to GBP20 million. Founded in 2012, Gousto delivers ingredients boxes for specific, suggested recipes. This latest investment includes GBP3m from BGF Ventures – the first investment for the GBP200 million fund since it opened its doors to early stage technology companies in the autumn of this year – alongside existing investors MMC Ventures, Unilever Ventures and the Angel Co-Fund. Merging Elian's existing International Finance team and the SFM Europe team, the combined service line will be made up of more than 150 employees, and it will be led by SFM Europe CEO, Robert Berry.   SFM Europe offers services for the management of securitisations, structured finance and asset finance to global banks, investment managers and blue chip corporates.
